    dvd buring problem

I have a burned dvd, when i burn a movie from dvd to dvd i have problems. The copied movie that comes out freezes totally. This happens towards the end of the movie on a chapter change. If i dump the movie on hard drive then copy it from h/d its fine.
    Help!

Sounds like either poor quality media or a problem with your burner...

Copying on the fly isnt always recommended due to buffer's and/or the speed of which data is tranfered. This is particularily the case whenever you attempt to copy on the fly with the DVD ROM and the DVD Writer on the same IDE channel. If you do wish to continue copying on the fly, put your DVD ROM and HArd Disk on IDE 1 and the DVD Writer on IDE 2.

"even if i dont do on the fly"

On the fly copying is copying from DVD ROM to DVD Writer. If you dont do it then the only other (more sensible) option is to copy to Hard Disk and then to the Writer. What other way is there?
