    DVDSHRINK to IMGTOOL to DISK

When shrinking DVD movie files to fit with DVDSHRINK, my IMGTOOL for burning will not see the files even though their there. when I try to select the source directory. DVDSHRINK says their ready for burning so why won't the file show up in the select window?

Do you have the NERO files that are required (if I remember correctly) by IMGTool installed?

I tried the NERO program a while back but didn't understand the process at the time enough to try it. So, since it was a demo with only thirty days it won't work now unless I buy it. I'm not against that, (although we all like free better) but I want to know that something works before I put out the cash. I have already been took to the cleaner once with these programs. All I got was a guide that I did't understand.

        I guess I didn't express myself clearly.

In order to use the IMGTools program to burn a DVD, there are certain compnents of NERO that must be installed on your system - otherwise IMGTools cannot burn DVDs...

          Try This

Why are you using Nero to burn the DVD? Once you have used DVD Shrink to shrink the movie to your HD, use Instant Copy and burn directly to DVD. Takes about half an hour for me to do this.
No settings needed. Just open Instant Copy and locate the file and click on Write.

          Have fun..

              yep cowboypoet.

sorry but,,introducing another software which is also not free???
it seems that scuter has problems with burning and not with
creating shrinked dvd, which is the main issue of the
              commercial product instant copy.

if you need to know how to use your IMG tool with dvdshrink
              visit http://www.dvdshrink.org
there is a link in howto that leads to doom9 that has a detailed
              guide on that.

if you want to know how to burn with nero visit
DVD Shrink is a free and user-friendly dvd backup tool, enabling you to make backup copies of your DVDs to a single DVD±R/RW or Dual-Layer DVD+R. DVDs too big to fit on a DVD±R can be edited and/or compressed. DVDShrink.info does not condone the copying of DVDs in countries where it is illegal.

It's better to use the ImgTools Classic, generate an ISO File and burn it with the DVD Decrypter.
No Problems, 100% function, free SW and no Nero Files are needed!

No, because ImgTool Burn uses the Nero 6 burn engine and thats not my prefert one
DVD Decrypter is for me the perfect one.
