    dvd burning unsuccessful

    Yes just a newbie

    I'm at my wits end!
I have been successful with a a few initial dvd burns but now I am having no success.

    Am I doing this right?
    I have dvd encoder
    dvd shrink
    and img tool.
I load the dvd files into decoder........... rip the files ( if thats what happens).............load them into shrink...............shrink the files.................then into Img tool to burn. them to disk............. no go! I get messages like "cyclic redundency check....missing file etc etc .

Could some one please tell me where I'm going wrong!!!
Or give some step by step instructions on how I can successfully burn dved's
Do I have the right software? Is my dvd burner working properly............Am I working properly!!!!
all responses will be greatly appreciate

I assume you mean "DVD Decrypter" (not "decoder")

    1) If you get a CRC (Cyclical Redundancy Check) error when trying to "rip" a DVD using DVD Shrink, use DVD Decrypter instead

    2) Set DVD Decrypter to "File" mode and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "ALL files" (NOT "movie" files)

    3) Use DVD Shrink to "Open File" (then click on the "VIDEO_TS.IFO file) and then compress

    4) Use NERO (version 5.5.10.xx or version 6.xx) in "DVD-Video" mode. Place ALL DVD-related files (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) in the RED "VIDEO_TS" folder - and burn

    Let us know of your success ;>}

Nope - but you can view the "log" if you so choose...

what seems to be the problem with the cyclical redundancy check error Setarip??
I have had this on two dvds out of 115. What is it exactly??

              To BLACKGHOST

CRC errors are typically indicative of a problem with the physical DVD (scratches, dirt, warping), etc.
