    DVD backups not working!!

Some DVD's I find you do a backup of them and then try and copy that backup. Then when you play it in your DVD some lock up when playing and others and fine. I use the same thing such as using NERO and do them on 2x speed 4x etc. Is there a way to prevent this or is there a clich somewhere???

    BLACKGHOST,

try to burn at 2x, also test it on your PC before you burn it out.
some movies, when you are editing the IFO files, it will not play.

Many dvd players are not fully compatible with certain dvd recordables.

You can check many dvd players here:

You may wish to check that it plays on your software dvd player on your computer. If so the burn is alright, but it still might not play on your standalone player.

What media are you using as freezing and dodgy playback can normally be associated to either the media (generally) or the player

Are you running any programs on your computer that may have caused a problem when burning? My guess is that it will be the media. To have one or two problems is not uncommon with princo media

use your task manager to ascertain whether there are other programs running in the background that may interfere with it. However, as i said, i think the media is most likely going to be the cause of the problem.

oriphus is right stating that it may be a media related
                      problem......
when you check previous postings on that you notice
                      that many members encountered problems
                      with princo media........

though it is also reported that pricnco media works
well with some sony standalone players and there are
even some sonyplayers that accept princo only as a

Not a problem. All of a sudden nothing works. Cannot be a bad batch as are using two different ones. What could it be??

When you do your original back-up, and then copy that back up, do you just use the copy and paste function to get the files off the DVD and into a directory on your computer?

what i decided to do was format my computer and all i have one it now at present is Nero 5.5.10.28 and thats it.
Using the PIONEER 105 burner. Now still having the same problem. So now im thinking maybe its either a hardware problem or Nero could be the problem. What you think??
