I have been using DVD Decrypter to backup DVDs which sometimes don't read properly through DVDShrink. But I notice then once I have done this and re-encoded through DVDShrink to fit onto 4.7gb that the start menu disappears when playing through a normal DVD player. Can anyone help???

I reckon that during the shrinking process some files are omitted in order that the quality of the main movie can be kept reasonably high. Playing at 85% original, instead of about 65%, say.
If you insist on everything being copied, I hear that you can split the movie onto two discs. I forget the name of the software which does this, but it is readily available through browsing these forums.
I hope that this helps.

Don't Know if this will help..........
Use dvd decrypter to rip the whole film to your pc.
You should have all the menus and the film? If so i sugest you run it through DVD2ONE.
This is what i use and have found it to work great. Get version 1.3
I used to use shrink for all my ripping and converting at the same time but found that many films were coming out with poor results.
Give it a try let me know how you get on.
P.S Use nero to burn DVD

to BlackGhost,
I am using DVD Decrypter and Instant Copy 8 and this seems to be working fine for me. BTW are there any new guides out there using Pinnacle Instant Copy v8. I like the movie only/complete movie choice and also the keep the menu choice.Comment
