Hi all,
I'm new to making backups of my dvds but I've been reading and searching and reading and searching some more. I've finally been able to backup my dvd to avi (Xvid codec) using DVDx. It looks really good and I got it on two cds.
However, upon reviewing it, I've noticed that it repeats 10-20 second long scenes throughout the .avi. I can't figure whats making it do that.
I'm using a PIV 2.4C chip and a Samsung Combo Drive (sm-352) to rip. I'm using double pass Xvid encoding.
Could my drive be skipping? I watch the movie without problem on my home DVD player. My DVDx settings could be wrong...but I don't think so...I did a lot of research. One thing that worries me is that I multitask while encoding (i.e. play a game or search the net). Could this be causing me problems? I'm lost...
Thanks for any help,
Sincerely,
Han.
