    Hi Skinney,

Sounds like a faulty master to me - try cleaning it. If that makes no difference, run a lens cleaner in your drive.

Have you tried using DVD Shrink for ripping?
    Hope this helps.

Are they, by any chance, bootleg DVDs?

Hmm - I assume that cleaning the discs and drive didn't help. I'm still of the opinion that the discs themselves are faulty somehow. Sorry to sound like a politician (answering a question with a question) but the following info might well be relevant to finding a solution:-

Do the movies in question play on your PC without any errors?

            How about on stand-alone players?

Do you have the latest ASPI drivers, device firmware, etc.?

It might help to know what your hardware and software specs are, also what movies you're having trouble with.
            Hope this helps.

              I ended up getting a DVD-ROM (Liteon 16x)
              That ripps perfectly
              Thx
