Splitting One DVD into 2 Disks

I am using DVD Shrink 2.3, and I have to split a large DVD movie onto 2 disks. My problen is that after burning both DVD's using Copyto DVDPro...I can only play the first disk on my stand alone DVD player...the second part of the movie plays on my PC, but not on my Stand Alone. Any suggestions?...please help!!

If you've followed the DVD Shrink Guide for copying a DVD9 to two disks correctly, I'd suggest dodgy media?
Something I do is write to RW's first for testing the file structure.

also having problem playing 2nd disc after splitting

I used DVDFab to rip & split the DVD9 and imgTool to burn. The first DVD played fine, the second DVD would not pllay at all and gave me an error "check your TV system" on my Samsung DVD-812 player. any help?
