Backup movie DVD not playing on my Harman Kardon DVD20

After burning my first couple of backup copies of DVD movies on a Sony 4X burner, using DVD Xcopy platinum 3.2, they play in other people's home dvd players but in my Harman Kardon DVD20 they get stuck immediately and there is nothing i can do. The dvd starts playing and it gets stuck by the main menu. I've tried with both DVD-R and +R, same results.
Can you pls help?

What speed did you burn at. If it was 4x then try a lower speed and if that don't work then better quality media.

You could also try burning the VOBs with Recordnow MAX which gives maximum compatibilty as far as DVD players are concerned.
