DVRec and Digi-guide

I have installed Digiguide 6.1 as a trial version and DVRec 1.00.1. DVRec
operates correctly, but Digiguide does not recognise the DVRec is present. As
when I right-click a programme Record using DVRec does not appear in the list
of options.
Can anybody advise if this is a common problem? should I install software in a
particular order?
