Best DVD+R Media Brands

I am new to DVD burning and I am lost as to which types of media to buy. I have a Plextor 708A - Plextor does have a guide on their web-site as to which media brands will work with their drive. But what I'm hoping to find is which one will workl the best, and which one will work the best for the money. My original purchase was a spindle of 25 Memorex DVD+r 4X (Which I was told to stay away from afterwards).

Is there a certain brand which seems to work with all drives flawlessly?
