Nero Format Question

hi there,

I am new to all of this. I recieved a Plextor 708A burner from Santa and have been reading the tutorials on your site.

I was wondering which is the better way to burn in Nero, and I guess what the difference is between: using the "DVD-Video" mode and "UDF/ISO" mode.

If anyone could answer that for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Use the DVD Video mode. This mode used to be less than perfect, and the other way was to modify the UDF settings to get more compatibility.

From Nero 5.5.10.42, the DVD Video mode is fine. It uses the UDF mode using predefined settings.

I have Nero 6.3.0.0 so i should be ok with DVD Video mode then correct?

Yes it will be fine.

I have 6.0.0.28 and is fine, but I upgraded to 6.3.0.2 tonight anyway.

6.3.0.0 has a bug with Nero Imagedrive so I had to go back to 6.0.0.28. It has been sorted out for 6.3.0.2.

I agree, just stick with the DVD video mode. The old advice for using the UDF/ISO mode is now moot because the DVD video mode in Nero uses the same format for burning now.
