While I am waiting for a replacement unit...Can you tell me which DVD copying software you 'rate' as the best in terms of reliability?

Various versions of 'Shrink : v, 2,3 , v. 3.0 Beta5 and the later releases v. 3.1.5 Beta 4or5 (Arno Vermulean has link @ this forum), DVDDecrypter v. 3.1.9.0, IMG Tools Classic v. 0.91.1 (it's an ISO maker for "shrinks file so 'decrypter can burn) (from Coujo.de), SmartRipper v.2.41 (for those few rips which 'Shrink and DVDDecryptor can't rip) and an aspi layer installed (so SmartRipper can work) (do a yahoo search for force aspi" these are all freewares and is a bullet-proof answer to 99% of all commercial dvd movie back-ups, and of course a software player (comes with most computers which have a dvd rom drive and also comes with many dvd buners.

Your computer software dvd player is .....powerdvd?

I use the freeware solution...with a well set-up system, fast ripping, fast burning, good video quality.

            You are welcome.

DVDShrink v. 3.1.7 Beta 5 is released. Can back-up in file mode or : Automatic ISO making and automatic burning with DVDDecrypter v. 3.2.0.0 (if you choose) , it's now a "freeware : one - click". Very good video quality and faster than with CLASSIC iso maker.

                Tim,

Does the freeware burning software (dvddecrypter) burn the Infiniti discs okay?

To be honest, I havn't been using decypter. I am 'hooked on' DVD Shrink which is so easy to use. Will try if you would like me to? Frankly I do not think the media ever was the issue. It was that b.....lank machine!

The new 'Shrink v. 3.1.7 Beta 4 and Beta 5 has the ISO file bug fixed (set target device as ISO instead of hdd files,

when you click on 'Shrink's back-up button the pop-up appears (is when to choose ISO file in Target Device),

then after back-up complete, burn that ISO file with dvddecrypter, any version of the v. 3.'s(3.1.6.0, v3.1.7.0, 3.1.9.0).

Also, 'Shrink has the click box for "automatic" burning with dvddecrypter (dvddecrypter v. 3.2.0.0) , it's a "one-click", like platinum, except better than platinum !
