Anyone with the "Could Not Perform End Of Disc At Once" error should read.

Hey I have worked out this error and it doesn't come up for me anymore. It says successful now.

The reason it is doing this is because the dvd that you are ripping/copying has been burned onto the opposite kind of disc you are trying to burn on to. E.g. I had a copy of freddy vs jason and because the person who made me the copy burned it onto a dvd+r disc and i didn't realise and tried to burn it onto my dvd-r blank disc then it was coming up with that error. Even if you rip the files onto your computer you need the same type of blank recordable as the one you ripped the files off.

    This is definetly correct.

    Hope This Helps
    Scott.

Didn't say you broke a rule, Scott. The copy of a copy is most always okay of a RW to a -R or +R........we really should leave this alone.

Your info. is helpful, though, so ain't no "bad", really.

No offenses, you are welcome. I try to use SmartRipper v. 2.41, click on Files button, then click start (after check box to left of every file), requires a aspi layer install, "force aspi" search on yahoo, or go to Doom9.org or .net for link (freeware) for some rips.

              Closing dvd error

Hi there. I got the same problem actually. I'm trying to make a copy of my dvd complete dvd collection, and I get the same error message VERY OFTEN. I got all the normal dvd's. Aren't they all burnt in the same way?
Sometimes I can burn the files, and then I can't . Is it my dvd+r's? They are Arita, so they should be fine. Anybody who can help?

              Tnx in advance

              Morph

it depends what type of dvd recordables your original dvds (the dvd collection ur copying) were burned on by the company or whoever. whatever type they were burned on is the type of discs u need to burn it on. If you have any problems then just fill it in here.

                Hope i'm useful

Somehow I doubt that the format of the disk is the actual problem especially once the disk is ripped to the hard drive.

Once the disk is ripped to the hard drive the original format is gone unless it's an image.
I would say this is more likely a problem with media you are burning to.
Maybe the disks just don't have enough room at the end of the disk to burn the TOC or the last sectors of the blank are corrupt in some way.

I have burned many disks from DVD+R to DVD-R and the other way around and not had this problem.
However I always use RITEK media for DVD-R and the DVD+R are MAXELL.

Having said this if that solution does work for you then fine, but I think the real problem is elsewhere.
