    New DVD recorder

    Hello.

I'm about to buy a LG DVD recorder (LG GSA-4081B, up to 8x recording speed with DVD+R ) and I have one question. I own two computers and I don't know where to place the recorder. The computers are:

    - Dell laptop with 1.4 Ghz. intel centrino processor, 512mb ram, 30gb HD (but the HD space is not problem) and a QSI combo CD-RW and DVD reader drive. In this computer I can connect the recorder by an external adaptor I own that can make it work by USB 2.0. This one works with Winxp Professional.

    - Another PC with Intel Celeron 400 MHz, 256mb ram (I can upgrade it up to 320mb), one 8gb HD (with windows and program files) and another with 80gb (with only data) and one Pionner 16x dvd. In this computer the recorder will work by ide/atapy connection. This one works with win98 s.e.

I have no problem to use it with one or another computer (of course, I will use the laptop for ripping and enconding), but I would like to know which one is the best option.

    Thanks. Bye.

    LLO.

PD: Excuse me about my english, i'm spanish.

"Another PC with Intel Celeron 400 MHz"

I would NOT burden such a slow (and outdated) system with any new hardware...
