Difference between DVD-R and DVD+R

Would it be possible to "convert" a DVD-R burner to DVD+R, or vice versa ? I meen that there can´t be any difference in hardware, or is there ?

I don't think this is possible. You would be better off buying a Pioneer A07 burner that can write to both formats.

I found this morning a FW-update from "dangerous brothers" that enables DVD-R/RW to my NEC5100A ( is a DVD+R/RW normally ). Works great !!!
