I read all of the posts, but since only one of them posed a valid question, I thought it would be good to explore other avenues... Now dont get me wrong, I am happy that your solution to the problem was just another drive, but it seems to me that a lot of these problems, have a very simple resolution or cause...

The most obvious ones being:

1) Bad coverage by die (coating).

2) Bad Disks (usually with deformed surface)

3) Bad ASPI

4) Drive not supporting some brands of media with current Firmware...

All and all resolution to these problems can be achieved in an hour or so, if you have internet.

But what am I on about... You know all this right???

i appresiate your help, all you told about my problem i tried to, but nothing resolve the problem

1) & 2) - i have a verbatim's 100 disc spindle (thats you can buy on sam's club) it works well with other recorders

3) i reinstalled the aspi drivers

4) maybe this is the problem i try to downgrading but i don't found older firmwares

but, all is resolved.... at least my dvd-recorder stills burns dvd very well
