Reallocation of DVD Video files failed!!!

Hello everybody.
I have a huge problem here.
I'm backing up DVD9 to 2 DVD-Rs. I rip with DVD Decrypter, and then I split DVD with IFOEdit.
Some times it works OK.
But sometimes the Disc1 will give an error when burning with ImgToolBurn: "Reallocation of DVD Video files failed"
If I burn it anyway, then it will have some problems when playing on a stand alone player.
The most common problem is that the disc starts OK, but when I select any menu option for the first time, it looks like it crashes and menus won't work anymore. If I press next, it jumps to the main movie and plays OK, but if I call any menu, it will be displayed, but won't work. Just can't make any selection on the menu.
Does anybody have an idea of what can it be?
I've serched allmost every available resource on the net, and I've found this problem in allmost every forum I visited, but it seems that nobody has found the unser!

I got the same error "Reallocation of DVD Video files failed" a couple of times while burning with nero. Fortunately my dvd still played. Not sure what causes this but will try to find a solution. Do a search here if you haven't www.dvdrhelp.com.

Sounds like your .IFO files weren't properly created for the splitting...

I still can't find out what's happening.
I've tested DVDFab, and had the same problem but instead of geting the "DVD Video files reallocation failed" on Disc1 I got it on Disc2 !
The only solution I found was to burn Disc1 from DVDFab backup and Disc2 from IFOEdit

Is there someone out there who knows what is this about?
How to fix it???

When I've gotten that error it was because an IFO was pointing to a non-existant VOB. It was due to a crappy authoring job by the maker of the DVD. In your case it might be that you have an IFO on one disc that's refrencing a VOB on the other disc.
