So why not use DVD423C39u29t55ter? In fact, it's not a true name. If you wanna know its real name you will have to get rid of all of the arabic numerals in "DVD423C39u29t55ter", thn you should find its real name
Why do it? Because some bastard always hack it!
You can download it in http://www.cnet.com or just google it!
Pay attention to: You must delete all arabic digits from DVD423C39u29t55ter, then you will find the real url or true web site address...

OK Candy. am feeling your frustration.
im very computer litterate, and all this video **** confused me at first (and still does occasionaly)

an AVI file can be compressed using different codecs, the 2 most popular are DIVX and XVID.
all that a person needs to view a Divx'd AVI movie is the codec (small file that tells your comp how to decode the AVI)

im sure most people will have a Divx codec installed already, but if not, I know that windows media player will automaticly download it (or you could provide a link to this very small file, or even host it yourself)

once a codec is installed, you can watch a moive on any player as the codecs are installed as a system file.

heres a link to install ffdshow, this is a multi codec handling software. allows you to play movies compressed in many formats - http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=161224

hope this sheds a little light on the situation.

      with regards to DVD2AVI.
      file - open
select vob folder (it'll auto add all vobs)
file - save avi (select destination file & folder)
codec window pops up - select Divx
click ok and the decoding begins
      simple huh

      good luck.

okie dokie.. thanks... NOW i feel better. LoL sorry about getting so irritated.... i'm computer litterate, also, as i am a web & graphic designer... i'm just annoyed with this video crap. lol first time's always a b**** right?.. haha it just kinda took me by surprise... because i can work with, mac's & pc's on pretty much all platforms.. i can get the video onto my computer just fine... but when it comes to changing the format.... i'm totally lost. LoL

can i change the avi into an mpeg?... will that lose any quality or anything?... okay.. i think that's about it. thanks everyone. and also, to charlotte... i tried dvdcutter. it didn't work. i have pretty much all the free programs you could throw at me. lol oh, yeah.. now that i'm thinking about that... regarding dvd2avi... when i tried dvd2avi, the picture was a green color & was split in 4 directions with no sound. is there any way to fix that?

        best wishes,
