What else gets recorded on a DVD-R?

    Hello,

My intention is not to scare anybody but what other information gets recorded on a DVD besides the files?

Does it depend on the burner software? Roxio? Nero?

Most software have an option to add information such as who created it, when, etc.

What if you do not manually add anything and just copy or burn a disc? Does it record the drive's serial number on the disc? or the registered user's name?

    Just doing some research.

    Thanks.

DVDInfoPro will tell you what program burned/created the DVD and who made manufatured the DVD. DVD's don't store information on what drive is used to burn the DVD.

It however, does give you information about your drive which is just system information for reference and not on the actual DVD.
