    problem,disk-at-once & track-at-once

I'm having strange problems burning backups.
I'm using Easy cd creator, which came with my DVD burner.
when ready to copy, the program will set itself to disk-at once but will only burn for about 10 seconds, then the DVD will stop the burning process and stay in a loop and i have to turn off pc to get control of the DVD back.

Now try to understand this because i cant
if i change the the Video_ts folder name to something else (like "CRAP" for example),Easy cd creator will go into Track-at-once mode when i'm ready to copy and then it will burn with no problems.
But of course the DVD player wont recognise it as a movie.

What happens if you put the VIDEO_TS (all caps with all the files in it) and AUDIO_TS (all caps and empty folder) INTO the "Crap" folder and tell Easy to open the Crap folder and burn?

        I'm not sure I understand:
"....and it will burn with no problems"
Are you saying the problems is resolved? Does the dvd play in the PC and the stand a lone player?

oops sorry,i miss read your reply.
what i did was copy the Video_ts folder + files ,into another folder and Easy CD would burn that with no problems.

But i did try what you wrote without success

            Once again I'm confused:
"...what i did was copy the Video_ts folder + files ,into another folder and Easy CD would burn that with no problems."
So the problem is fixed? Does the dvd work in the PC and DVD player? Did you enclude a folder AUDIO_TS (all caps and empty)?

              I can understand the confusion,because it's bloody insane !
As an experiment, i copied the video_ts folder with all it's related files inside another folder, lets say i called it "terminator".
Now i start to burn the Terminator folder with the video_ts folder inside of it and my DVD will burn it.
So i cant play it on my DVD player because now the files are in two folders instead of the one.
But if i play it on my PC i can, just by selecting the files i want to play.

When you use "Easy" don't you drag n drop "both" VIDEO_TS (all caps with the .BUP .VOB .IFO files inside) and the AUDIO_TS (all caps and empty) into "Easy" for the burning?

yes i have done that and thats when it wont burn.
But lets say for example that i only copy the files without the folders.
Well the DVD will burn,no probs.
or if i change the name of Video_ts folder to another name,it will burn,no probs.
                  Very strange !!

I just got an answer back from the dvd support.
They said to use Track-at-once instead of Disk-at once when burning the DVD disc.
Well that's hard when EasyCd won't give that option to change it.
I do have a copy of Nero, about 6 months old i think, and i'm even having trouble with that.
DVD burning should be simple, just like copying to CD.
It feels like unseen forces are playing games with me,hehe

Ok,i found the problem was the file system, once i changed the configuration the DVD burned and plays on DVD player a-ok.
