    Philips recorder problem

I just purchase a Philips recorder model DVDR75/17.
I was recording on a SONY disc:
    SONY DPR47L2
    DVD+R
    120min
    4.7GB
    1x-4x Speed compatible.
I recorded several chapters correctly, but suddenly it stoped recording and when I try to read the disc again I got the following message:
    "Disc contains unknown data"
I try with another disc and I happened again.
    What can it be?

    "Philips recorder model DVDR75/17."

Is this a "tabletop" recorder (for recording from your television) or part of your computer setup?

If it's a tabletop recorder, you may have to use DVD-RAM discs instead of DVD+R...

Then, as I said before, you may have to use DVD-RAM discs instead of DVD+R...

but in all the documents, like datasheets, manuals, etc.. they say that I must use DVD+R or DVD+RW media

Then try a different brand of DVD+R or DVD+R/W - such as Ritek...
