    Problems Burning Shrunk DVD

I used DVD Rebuilder and QuEnc to shrink a DVD down to fit on a DVD-R. All seemed well. The files left by DVD Rebuilder look exactly like what DVD structured files should look like. I used Easy CD Creator to burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to the disc with the UDF file system. But when I put this in a DVD player it says disc error.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, which means I definately don't know how to fix it. Can someone help?

Ok... thanks. It looks like my DVD player supports DVD-R, but not DVD+R.

Is one of these two disc formats supported more widely than the other?
