Burning DVD doesn't play properly on DVD player

I am new to DVD burning and software.
I have a copied some DVD's using DVD Shrink using Princo DVD's on a LG GSA 4082B burner.
When I play them on the PC they appear OK but when I put them on the Toshiba DVD player they play OK for a time, then freeze momentarily and continue. This usually gets increases until it freezes after 50 to 60 minutes.

Is it likely to be the DVD discs, or my set up.
I have installed XP and am running NTFS file system.

"Is it likely to be the DVD discs"

Yes. Princo burnable DVD media have an awful reputation. Try higher quality media, such as Ritek...

Are you using paper adhesive labels? I have finally solved my problems of 'Backup' DVD's skipping and stopping by not applying the beautiful printed labels i was making, and buying a texta first, then an Epson R120 (prints directly on CD/DVD's).
            Good Luck

I have not used any stick on labels, just felt tip pen.
But I have since found my Toshiba DVD player has been intermittently powering down and causing this problem.
I have purchased a new DVD player and the Princo copies are playing OK.
Obviously the problem was with the DVD player.
              Thanks for your help.

I have been using Princo DVD-R and now that the player is working, they have all recorded without any problems. I have purchased Ritek, but haven't burnt any as yet.
