help burning coasters

I have been using nero 6 for burning dvd's for some time now but just lately i have been burning many coasters, they all freeze towards the end of the film usually within the last 30 mins. but thats not all now my machine decides to shut down half way through burning. any ideas any one
i use windows xp

It happens to me as well before! my hard disk was nearly full so i didn't hav enough space to complete the task and it use to freeze like mad everytime i was using nero! If you've got too many applications running at the same time they can also make nero 6 freeze! check your utility manager before hand and close any app. that u won't need. i got rid of some stuff that i wasn't using to make some space on my hard disk,it helped!



I m not sur this is the right answer but it worked for me! hopefully it will work for you too!

If you are using an early version of Nero 6... do an update.

i have already updated nero and i have loads of room on my hd.
i close all apps when using shrink and nero.

but now it has got worse the damned machine blue screens while using shrink aswell

You may want to check your IDE channels in Device Manager and make sure DMA is still enabled.
