    Burn & Read Pron (diff from others i hope)

    I got my dvd burner the other day. I'll burn a dvd with nero and then when nero is done, nero nor anything else can read the dvd+r. I've tried the lowest burn setting the dvd burner will let me burn which is 2.4 and still no good results. I have the files on my computer and powerdvd can play them. One question on the side, if I remove the menus in the dvd backup, will the dvd still play? I guess I'll try that once I'm able to get a movie started with it's menus.

      Set your burner as master and don't share it with a hard disk on the same IDE-cable.

      What burner model do you have? Is it an Accesstek DD1203?
      If so - there is a new firmware;

          "if I remove the menus in the dvd backup, will the dvd still play?"

          Are you using Shrink?

          Try with another brand of media.

            I actually added my own custom menu to an avi I converted to dvd video files from my old camera I had. But still nothing when I burn. Always a blank disc I can no longer write on.
