    Power Calibration Error

    What is a Power calibration error? How do I fix it? If you have read my previous post I have an I/O Magic dual format 12x DVD+\-RW drive. Burning with nero software. Burns music cds alright, but when I try to burn dvds I get the error

      I figured it out.... Has to do with DMA and PIO Modes in Bios.

          Make sure you have the latest version of Nero as earlier versions were known to cause this. Also poor media,what make of disc are you using.What speed are you trying to burn @.Do you have the latest firmware for your writer?Is DMA enabled on your IDE channels.Download dvdinfopro it will tell you writers firmware,disc media code (the manufacturer of the disc).
