Backing Up with DVD+R DL in Mind

    A few newbie questions...

I'm thinking about backing up DVD-9s to hard drive(s) until the price of DVD+R DL media becomes reasonable. Assuming I don't want to use compression, and I don't want to lose any of the extras, what method do I want to use?

Do I just use DVD Decrypter (without any special settings) and let her rip?

I see that DVD Shrink has a checkbox for removing the layer change. Is this something that DVD Decrypter does as well? Do I want to remove the layer change? Or keep it intact?

If I decide to back up DVD-9s to 2 DVD+Rs, with the intent to eventually move them to a single DVD+R DL, is there anything special I need to do?

    Thanks!
