i think im gonna cry.. 25back ups and all of them choppy/skip..

i use dvd shrink 3.2 to decrypt and shrink.. then i burn with nero

i've tried burning in dvd video form, and in udf / iso form..

im using a toshiba 4x dvd -r, +r etc.. burner

    TDK 4x DVD-Rs

ive tried burning at max speed, burning at 2.4..

and the only time i use the computer is to get out of screen saver and check progress..

the problem is that theres some choppiness, but i think thats just cuz for a few i used the comp a lot.. so thats understandable

but all my dvds mess up around chapter 5 - ch 9.. i dont understand.. please help

Turn off the screen saver and STOP using the PC while backing up dvds. Try burning at 2x or slower and use a RW to reduce coaster until you get things worked out. Generally when there is a problem with playback in a standalone player it has something to do with compatability. You might want to read the following:

    for writer compatibility search here:

and for DVD player compatibility search here:

Stop using the PC, burn at a slower speed on a RW and please report back as to your progress.

            "why use RW?"

Re-Writeable - So you don't foolishly waste another 25 DVDs trying to resolve your problem...

ok i just tried burning in iso form with dvd decrypter

i turned the speed down to 2x.. i turned the screen saver off and i let it run without touching the computer the wholetime

i played the dvd.. everything worked flawlessly until the end of chapter 8 where it freezes, and then no chapters after that will play..

                            Not switch to + media

The best is to have a trial pack with Ritek-G04 and Prodisc maybe even something else on the -R family.

The RW disks means that if something goes wrong than you can always erase it and start again

No labels on the DVD's would help.

Upgrading your firmware should be a good thing too
