Problems with the Quality rip guide

    Hello,

Since a while i have some problems with the quality rip guide. At the beginning everthing worked fine, but now i can't rip a dvd anymore

I just rip the dvd with dvd-decryptor(the newest version) and then mount it wit daemon-tools. Then i start DoItFast4U 1.4.7.0
Sometimes it says that the structure is invalid , but when i mount the image again and refresh it goes well.

For example, i have 5 VTS sets, set 3 is the main movie and vts set 2 and 4 are less then 200 MB, so there not going to be demuxed. well when i check all the options i want, audio and the subs, i start..... But when the first set finished, it doesn't continue......!! it goes straight to ReAutohorist! and nothing else is done! soo in ReAutohorist it says that only one VTS Set is there, and it could have a quality of 679 % !

I also tried it with a dvd with only 2 sets, the first was less then 200 MB. And the second was the main movie. So the first set isn't checked, but after the second finisched, the first one should move to the VIDEO_TS folder, right? but that has never happened!!

I Find it all a little strange! I copied a part of the DoItFast4U log, i hope someone can help me so that i could make good rips again!

    Thanx in Advance,
    Ivar

    Hello

How about usind DVD Shrink / DVD decrypter & forget about those pesky little problems?

Get DVD Shrink at (bottom of page) here:

digital, digest, dvd, divx, dvdr, dvd+r, dvd-r, rip, copy, ripping, convert, backup, back, up, shrink, xvid, software, download, news, guide, article

And the Guides for How to here:

DVD Shrink is a free and user-friendly dvd backup tool, enabling you to make backup copies of your DVDs to a single DVD±R/RW or Dual-Layer DVD+R. DVDs too big to fit on a DVD±R can be edited and/or compressed. DVDShrink.info does not condone the copying of DVDs in countries where it is illegal.

Again a thank you to ddlooping for these great guides

    Good things iack

I know that it's much easier and less time consuming, but the quality with dvd-shrink is worse than the other method. That's why i would like to make this thing working again....... Maybe is there an alternative for DoItFast4U?

If making a 100%/100% quality backup is not good enough wilst using the re-author mode in DVD shrink or up to 90%/100% in Full disk mode, I personnaly feel compeled to ask in which quality reproduction method do other programs excell in comparison to Dvd Shrink??

About a better alternative to DoItFast4U I I stand by my choice, purely because DVD SHRINK is the best by a very long.., long.., long shot!

I apologise if I was unable to help

I think you're wrong about that. backing up a dvd-9 onto an dvd-5 is not very good with dvd-shrink. As you can read at the beginning of the quality rip guide you can read about that dvd-shrink can do it fast but not in very good quality.

And something else is the menu, i would like to keep. When i go re-authoring the dvd, i can't keep the menu, if i'm right.....

But is there an alternative for DoItFast4U? i read something about Sceneaid? of BatchCCE of something else?

            Hello

If you follow the guides you can do this and a whole lot more.

When you back up a DVD9 to a DVD5 you find that if no compression is applied to the contents of DVD9 your just making a exact copy with the like for like quality.

On re-author mode you can do this easely.

If you wanna compress DVD9 with files of 8GB to DVD5 4.37GB and you have to compress it to fit it in the new DVD and no program will give you that level of quality when your talking about 50% to 70% compression applied.

One thing though I have no need to compress my backups in re-author mode so there is no quality loss, none what so ever, nada, ziltch. Impossible to tell the difference.

DVD remake is one tool that may be of use to you:

A DVD editor with the ability to edit the DVD, it's menus, as well as the movie itself

Download DVD Rebuilder 0.98 Free : Backing up your DVDs is extremely simple with DVD Rebuilder, a powerful application which uses QuEnc encoder
