SONY DRU-700A Bittsetting?

If you burn with Nero/DVDShrink you should enable "Book type" in the Backup section -> Burn settings.

Don't know if www.dvdinfopro.com works on your Sony - you could check out the forum for that program.

when I go to the Backup section -> Burn settings in dvdshrink the booktype DVD-ROM is greyed.It does show a tick in the box but i cannot select it. does this mean it will burn in dvd-rom format?
Why can I not select it?

1. You have a + disc in the driver?
2. You have the latest updates for your Nero installed?

I have a +r disc in the driver

I am just downloading latest updates 6.3.1.25,2.1.2.21,4.3.0.5,1.4.0.23.

I assume this will fix my problem.

installed latest updates and I can now select the book type DVD-ROM feature.
I assume this means I will burn a +r disc in the DVD-ROM format when I burn a movie backup?

It will still be in the +R format. It will just have DVD ROM as the booktype in the lead in section of the disc.
