Burning Dvd movie

This may be a stupid question but oh well never know until I ask, I am wondering if u want a movie to fill the screen of a reg 21inch. tv without the black frames,how do u do this? I thought If I checked full screen on my burning program it would do this,maybe u cant do it.I dont know,so that is why I am asking. THanks

Check the HARDWARE settings available on your standalone DVD player. You can usually choose from the following:

1) 4:3 Fullscreen
2) 4:3 Pan & Scan
3) 16:9/4:3

So if I set it to the full screen on my dvd player,it will not have the black frames below and above picture?Thanks

Depending upon the formatting of the DVD, one of the three settings may allow you to view the DVD without (or with smaller) black bars...
