    "Disc ID" with DVD Shrink

    DVD Shrink 3.2 can backup the entire DVD but I have not found a way to retain the "Disc ID" number from the org disc. Have I missed something, or is there another way of getting it in there?

    Current Config ....
    DVD Shink 3.2.0.15 --> Nero Express 6 "6.3.0.2" --> DVD Profiler 2.2

    Hello

    First update your Nero to the latest version.

    Then just backup straigh into disk from DVD Shrink under backup>>select backup target(drive).

    This only preserves the disk title, I suppose this is what you require?

      Not "Title" name, but "Disc ID" number.

      It's the same for both DVDs & CDs, how does WMP know that you inserted, ahhh, Beatles CD ???? Disc ID numbers!!!!

      Here is a sample of some disc info......
      Title = Eraserhead Limited Edition
      UPC = 51536-96963 (bar code)
      Disc ID = BF44E619 (disc identifier)
      Genre = Horror
      MPAA Rating = NR

      Every Eraserhead Limited Edition, with that barcode, should have that same Disc ID. If on the other hand, it was the Director's Cut Edition, then all of those would have another unique Disc ID.

      I would like to know if there is a way to copy the disc so it retains the original Disc ID number.
      Thanks, BBB

        Hello Download the .zip file important info.

        Ok. You can do similar with Nero Burning Rom. But an exact copy of the disk ID number I dont think you can.

        Start Nero Burning Rom choose you Medium type i.e. CD/DVD type of Burn (I choose for this example DVD Files), Import your Files get them ready for burning and then press F7 and choose from that window the Labels tab:

        (See picture Name Example_1)

        From that one you can give you CD/DVD a Tittle(This will be diplayed when you have it inserted on the PC) Now click the More Fields buttom (circled red) another window with more fields pops

        (See picture Name Example_2)

        Fill these in with whatever info you choose this will be displayed when you access Disk properties on you PC and WMP will see this info (I think!).

        try it

        Good things
