    ASPI v4.60 to the rescue?

-Ok, I ran kill and inst and have v4.60 from http://radified.com/ASPI/forceaspi.htm.
But, I noticed each time on the blackboard it said “Windows NT or 2000 Detected”. I have XP. Is this a problem?
-do I do anything with killdump, restasapi, dumpaspi.bat files?
-Should I Delete entire c:\adaptec folder previously downloaded as think it only has stuff for v4.71.2.0?
-I downloaded aspichk.exe from http://radified.com/Files/ for v.4.60 and now have:
Adaptec ASPI Windows NT [is this a problem as I noted above????]
WNASPI32.DLL Version 4.60[1021] date and byte size
    WINASPI.DLL ditto ditto
    ASPI32.SYS ditto ditto
    WOWPOST.EXE ditto ditto
“ASPI is properly installed and is fully operational.”
“A total of 2 host adapters have been detected.”
-I will wait to hear from you as to what to do next, check for next, or can I try Decrypter “Episodes” Burn at 2x with change in I/O to ASPI from SPTI. ? .

-possible problem person on dvddecrypter forum had was using -R disk in dvd player that only accepted +R, or vice versa. [I learned the hard way.]
I don’t understand if I’m to do anything with info on that forum.
    When do you sleep??????

      No, it shouldn't be.

No, you don't need to run the bat-files.
Yes, you can delete the old folder with 4.7.1.2 version.

Sounds as your ASPI is installed ok. So a test burn would be nice. You go any RW discs?

        oh noooooooo

You can see in decrypter log that I changed back and forth from STPI to ASPI.
But in ASPI it did not find my NEC burner [G] nor give me any of the usual burner/disc info. I’m unable to change Destination from F to G.

There is only one suggestion that I could give you. Try to find out what motherboard you have and see if there is any BIOS update that could be of interest regarding USB. Also if you have the latest drivers for your USB installed.

            Final questions I guess

            Where do I find:
            -motherboard info?
            -BIOS update info re USB?
            -USB Drivers?
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Perhaps you should do the update to firmware ver 1.07.
