With DVD Shrink, when one is remaking a DVD that needs no compression, the deep analysis option is not available - as it is not needed i.e. it directly copies the stream. However, in Nero Recode (which is, I guess only intended for shrinking larger DVDs, otherwise one would just copy) the option remains, even when no compression is needed. Indeed, it will perform the deep analysis (when checked) even when all markers are at 100%. Is this an oversite, or in Nero, is the deep analysis always a good idea?
Sometimes I use Recode just to merge segmented recordings, and do not need any compression, should I still perform deep analysis?
