problems with dvd burning/backup

Hello, this is my firts time trying to copy a dvd movie. I have done two of them and neither have
work in my dvd players.
I have followed the intructions step by step.
I am using shrik3.2 and nero 6 the process of
copying the dvd went trough the point is had the
message 100% burnning. yet I could not open the
dvd to get the dvd out, if I click on my computer icon , it will not respond was not and I could not closed dvd shirk3.2 (not responding)
I finally got the dvd out of the dvdrom and play it
both my dvd players and it will not load them at all.
it does not give me and error but it will not load them .....
can any one give me a hand? please

I presume that you let the Finished backing up your DVD message pop up...

Let the process run its course completly, You dont mention which Nero 6 Version u have...
