JVC DVD Player cannot read disk

I rip the files using DVD Shrink 3.2 and save it
    on hard drive.
Then I burn it using CD Creator 6.
    PowerDVD can play it.
    JVC DVD Player shows ERROR.

    To find out if it is in the burning process or in the playing process you have your problem - do this test;

Download www.dvdinfopro.com (freeware) insert one of your burned disc and selelct the option "Test your media for CRC read errors" - if you only get green dots you know that your burning is ok and it is the player that causes the problem. If you get any read dots - you know something else.

You have the latest firmware installed for your burner? Which brand of discs do you use?

              CRC Read Error Test

              I have MAXELL DVD-R discs.
I was using CD Creator 6 to burn disk.

I play DVD on JVC XV N4 Player.

                CRC Read Error Test

Actually, I inserted the disc I burned first
                and it's only green dots.
So, I'm afraid my JVC XV N4 cannot read
what you rip with DVD Shrink 3.2

                Can it be the case?

                  JVC.COM outlines the features:

                  XV-N412S
                  Manufacturer's suggested retail price: $129.95

Plays DVD Video, DVD-R, DVD-RW (Video Format), CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, SVCD, WMA, MP3 and JPEG formats
                  Digital Direct Progressive Scan Output
                  Adaptive Geometrical Chroma Mapping
                  DigiPure Circuitry
                  High-bit/high-sampling (12-bit/108MHz) video D/A converter
                  192kHz/ 24-bit audio D/A converter

DVDInfPro says Media Type - DVD+R

                  Maybe that is the problem
Disk is created as DVD+R but player supports DVD-R

Could try to apply bitsetting to fool the player to think it's a DVD-ROM - if your burner supports it: http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/150

                      Bitsetting DVD

                      Hi Cynthia,

                      I wen to dcfreaks.com
and all it says there is:

                      Tools

The booktype field can be modified by several applications. Best known is Nero which allows you to modify field the booktype field for several brands of DVD recorders. Companies such as Lite-On, BTC, NU-Tech, Ricoh and BenQ have released tools to modify the booktype field.

But I already used NERO. So what's new about all this Bitsetting thing?
                      ---------------------------------------
                      update:
I burned a movie using Nero Burning ROM 6 DEMO
and now my JVC player does not shoe ERROR but it still cannot read the disc - simply does not start playing. says "NOW READING"
                      -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                      Thanks,
                      Robert

Enable the book mark option in Nero preferences.
