cannot burn movies on DVD+R

I am SUPERLY trying to be patient, but my computer wont work! I heard of DVD shrink from my friend at school and i decided to try it for myself after i bought a new computer. so, new comp? sony vaio desktop ra828g - complete with dvd plus/minus writer....dual disk stuff... anyway. i downloaded shrink and NERO version 6. i burned the dvds on - but not +....and this is making me mad. i was wondering how i change the burn setting from only negative to BOTH negative and positive....

i know my burner is compatible with positive....ive read dvds with + before.

Please help me out! it would be realllyyy great =)

There is no switch; the drive should identify accordingly.
First thing to check at this stage is brand compatibility.
Check up www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters for your model.
Also worth trying www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers for your standalone's compatibility.

The fact that the burner can READ DVD+Rs does NOT assure that it can BURN DVD+Rs...
