    Newbie using Decrypter and Shrink...

Hi, Just wondering out loud here. I've had initial success backing up a few pre-recorded DVD's and I have a question. First, I use Decrypter to decrypt and save to the hard drive. Having done this, I'm wondering if I can save a step or two in Shrink to speed things along. As it is, I open the file in Shrink and go through two long processes of Analysing and Encoding before I can burn. What is actually happening in the Encoding process? Am I decrypting all over again? Thanks for your help.

If your original DVD can fit on a DVD5 (<4.7Gb) just use DVDDecrypter to ripp the file to an ISO and burn it with the same program.

If it don't fit - you have to use DVDShrink to reduce it in size. Put the original DVD in your reader and start DVDShrink - the output file can be burned with DVDDecrypter.

Decrypting = Get rid off the copy protection
Encoding = Get it down in size
