    DVD Shrink Backup

    Hi guys,

    Newbie here. kinda....

Quick question and some help and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Any reason why my DVD Shrink v3.2 would have backed up a movie in the past with no problem.....and now that I try it, I get the following:
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
    Failed to read file
    Data error (cyclic redundancy ceck).

    thx...

If it's the same ORIGINAL DVD, try cleaning it...

I am having the same error on Buck Rogers disk #4. Have no idea what the problem is. I was able to back up 9 of the 10 disks but for some reason I can not get disk 4 to read after 1 min 45 secs. I wonder if this is a new copy protection???

        I cleaned it...thx.

but ever since I backed-up resident evil2 (thx for the info on how to do it), I've been having major problems with DVD shrink and Nero

I'm not sure if it's the media I've been using.

currently working with Sony DVD-R (1x-8x compatible)

I'm also using the Pioneer A08XL.

The media have been burning @ 16x for couple of times...but then they all just starting failing.

Have tried other media @8x but fail and sometimes won't get read by the burner....now some only burn @ 4x....

I'm lost....and I"m in desperate need of some help....

any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

        thx.

"now some only burn @ 4x...."

And that speed is really the maximum you can safely burn at, for consistently good results...
