AVI to DVD

Shut Down Your System.. Trun it back on. I've heard of several clients with Nero 6.6.0.3 that had that happen to them. Nero will claim the drive like DVD Shrink Does and will not allow it to open the drive during write and read processes but somewhere it forgets to disable the lock drive function and keeps it locked.

A simple Reboot witll do the trick.

I have rebooted alot of times, and the drive is really new it is only about a month old
any other ideas

Still wont eject the tray?

Okay how about this then..

From My Computer right click on the DVD Drive and select the Eject option from the Menu. See if that opens it.. Then press the button to see if it closes then again to open it.

it wouldn't even eject it, this really bites. what happened was the burn froze so i canceled it but the drive kept acting like it was burning and then i just restarted the computer, and it has been doing it ever since.

Try rebooting and press the Eject button before the OS loads. See if that opens the drive. Then get back to me on that.

Try uninstalling the Drive. Turn the system on, turn it off.. Reinstall the drive and turn the system back on. If that didn't fix it then your Eject motor has gone bad.

well that didnt work either, i guess the motor has gone bad. that really sucks. it isnt even a month old, good thing it is under warrenty for a year

how do i use nero vision 3, it will only let me do it to an mpeg file

I don't know Nero Vision - is there a convert or transcode command in a menu somewhere?
Otherwise, TNPGEnc 2.5 is free.
