    DvD burning problem

I have used dvd shrinker successfully on many occasions, but a couple of times I have decrypted a dvd, burnt etc, then when I go to play the copy my dvd player says 'insert dvd' , seems to be nothing on it. How can I overcome this?

If you cannot even play it on your PC, that would lead me to believe, something went wrong in the encoding process before you even burnt it. I suggest ripping the movie again with either DVD Shrink or the newest version of DVD Decrypter.

The latest Version is Currently: Version 3.5.2.0

Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO" or the actual "VIDEO_TS" folder.

A good tutorial on how to accomplish this is located here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=45238

Please clarify; Are you using "A4 DVD Shrinker" or "DVD Shrink"....?

Although to me it sounds like a media compatability issue, I would begin by ensuring you are using the latest version of your burning s/w and check for a firmware update for your writer.

media = brand of recordable disc (ie. Ritek, FUJIFILM, Imation, Maxwell, TDK, etc.)

And what speed they are rated at. (1X, 2X, 4X, 8X, etc.)

                  What format they are. (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, etc.)

First, I would suggest in only using reliable media, such as Ritek Ridata. You would be surprised as how much difference it can make.

On the ones that you have previously been successful on, where they done successfully by the same media you have now?

Yes, 95% of them work, only had 3 that won't and have re-tried again but with no luck.
