DVD-Decyrpter and DVD-Shrink problem with Resident Evil 2???

For some reason both DVD-Decrypter and DVD Shrink 3.2 won't allow me to get very far in trying to put the DVD on my hard drive to try and shrink it down to fit on a normal DVD. DVD-Decrypter will get a little bit over 1% then the transfer rate will drop to 0kb/s and report errors straight across.

On DVD Shrink 3.2 it will analyze to about 15% and then it will stop and not continue past that, almost like it freezes, no errors or anything. I think there is some type of new protection or something out, can someone help me with this?

    Thanks....

It also says Cyclic Redundancy Check...

My burner is an LG 4040-B, have had it for about a year now, and it seems only to not work with some very popular movies, not necessarily new ones. Worked fine with Spider-Man 2 but Resident Evil 2 does not want to burn for the life of it, afraid that I might have the same problem with Troy too.

What version of Decrypter are you using.. The most recent Version 3.5.2.0 does not have this problem.
      Cheers!

Damn well it was just in need of an update. Everything works dandy now... IS there some new form of encryption they are using now... and why do they even bother with new encryptions? It doesn't really do anything but set the user back a week or so.

Sony DVD Entertainment is using a new form of writing dummy sectors into locations that actually contain the main movie. That will cause alot of backup programs to not read the sectors correctly.
              Cheers!
