How I Backed Up "Catwoman" successfully

How I did a full back up of "Catwoman", keeping the menu and extras.

Insert "Catwoman", open up DVD Shrink and then click "Open Disk", select "Catwoman" (The drive with the "Catwoman" DVD in it.)

Let DVD Shrink do the quick analysis on it. After it finishes, it should look like this. Screen Shot Below:

Now, on the main movie. Deselect (take the check mark out) of the "AC3 - 5.1-ch French". Now click the "Extras" folder. Then in the compression box, click the down arrow and change it to "Custom Ratio". Move the slider down to "59.7". Screen Shot Below:

Now click the "Main Movie" folder, and the compression should read "70.2". Screen Shot Below:

    Click "Backup!"

On the "Backup DVD" screen that pops up after clicking the "Backup!" button. Click the "Quality Settings" tab and put a check mark in the box that says "Perform deep analysis before backup to improve quality".

Click "OK" at the bottom and your DONE!

              Jmet,

I tried the SAME EXACT thing you suggested...all even came out well to where the main compression ended up 70.2. I STILL came up with an error...and I've tried it on three boxes so far, with different brand motherboards, roms & writers. Same error. Here is a screenshot of the error. Please tell me you can help me.

Okay, I will take it back (did get it used) and will get $ back and buy brand new. I just like to backup my originals so I don't ruin them. This way, I'll have the original, BRAND NEW, so backing it up should be a snap. All other suggestions were taken....tried on different systems with DVD-ROMs & DVD-Writers...so maybe it was scratched. I'll letcha know when I try it....SOON.

                  Thanks for the speedy response.

                      THANK YOU!

                      Jmet,

Man, you were SOOO right! I should have KNOWN that such a new movie wouldn't be sold USED unless DAMAGED! I got it from Blockbuster! I didnt' see any damage, but there MUST have been. Not to mention that there is a rumor that BB has a way of protecting their DVD'z from being backed up...which, if true, takes total advantage of the buyers of used DVDz...that we can't even backup! I took my sold called USED copy back and bought the original elsewhere and wala! The backup went SMOOTHLY! I feel like an idiot.

You truly ARE the Digital Video Master. Thanks again guyz, everyone...for ALL of your help!

                      Oh yeah...BB sux!
