    New burner problems

Just upgraded to a new DVD Burner & now i can't watch any of my back ups. Installed a new hp 530i. Followed the same pattern as my old one. Used Dvd Shrink to make ISO then burned using Roxio all my backups played fine (dvd-r). Installed new burner 530i, now backups won't play on my standalone. They will play on pc. So i tried burning with Nero still no go. Any ideas. HP customer support was no help.

I'm not sure how installing a DVD Burner could effect your standalone. Do you mean they won't play on your DVD-ROM Drive that you have also?

Please look into the following FAQ on DMA:

The DVD backups wil not play in my standalone anymore since intalling the new burner. The backups play fine on my pc.

Well look for the DVD Burner.. That is not your Burner.. It should be on the Secodary Control and should say DMA Mode 2.

Mode 5 is a Hard Drive.
          Cheers!

Can you watch your previous backups on your stand alone DVD player that you made before you installed your new DVD burner?

Are you using the same burning speed as before?

Done a CRC error check with DVDInfoPro on your new burns?
