DVD plays fine on PC; "No Play" on stand-alone

Here's my story, thanks in advance for some help.

For about the first 30 dvd back-ups I made I had absolutely no problems. These were made using DVD Shrink(3.2) > .ISO > Nero (6.3.1.19) Burn. Discs were TDK DVD-R. Next I tried some TDK+R and received a "no play" message on my set-top (Panasonic dvd rv 31) but was able to play with no problem on my PC DVD player.
Next I tried other brands of DVD-R and same result. So I went back to TDK-R and am still getting the "no play" message.

The part that boggles me the most is that the original successful copies I made still play on the Panasonic.

As far as I can tell I haven't changed any of the settings in either Shrink or Nero.

Both good and bad discs show up as ID TTG02 in DVD Decrypter.

    I've tried DVD-5 -> DVD-R using DVD Decrypter - same results.

I've tried a strait copy in Nero of one of the successful dvds- same results.

    I've reinstalled Nero.

I thought there might be some file assocation issue with AVI media center so I uninstalled it-- no luck.

I had run a spyware program around the time the trouble started so I rolled back the changes it made-- no luck.

My burner is Sony DRU 710a. Firmware byx2 (updated after I started having problems)

    Any ideas?

And Nero is saying that they are burning successfully? Yet they won't play in your stand alone DVD player ?

If so, could you post a log file from Nero ?

To do so, go here: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero
Look for a file named "NeroHistory.log"
Open that file up and copy it.
    Then paste it here.

Two things I noticed, the first was your "Book Type", it was set to DVD-R yet, you were trying to burn DVD+R.

Next thing is the "Media Specific", looks like your burner doesn't like the media you were using.

I would suggest going back to DVD-R and trying a more reliable brand of media such as Ritek Ridata, or Verbatim.

Also, do you have the latest firmware for your burner?

That was just a trial, most of the discs I tried were DVD-R

That's what I would think too, but isn't it strange that the TDK-R worked fine in the beginning?

The burner came with BY01 and after the problem started I went to BYX2.

Thanks again for your help, jmet-

Picked up some Verbatim DVD-R today and still "No Play". Here's the Nero log:
