I use Shrink, then burn with dvd decrypter and I have succesfully burned about 20 dvd's. Now, each time i go into Decrypter to burn, it will say ready at the bottom, and i click it, bringing up the message "This disc needs to be formatted. Would you like to format it now?" and i click yes, assuming i know what i am doing. (BTW, i am using DVD+RW discs) No it will say at the bottom- Filling buffer, then goes to "Writing LeadIN", then the write speed just drops to 0.0 kb/s. Other times, it will go right from "Writing LeadIN" to "Writing image" and burn succesfully, but recently i have been having this problem. I usually fix this by pressing the eject button on my burner repeatedly, whcih causes it to switch to writing image, (As soon as i stop pressing the button, the write rate drops again) and i usa=ually go until 5%, then stop it. Then i click end task for DVD Decrypter, and retry and it usually works but isn't. Is there a way to stop this problem altogether? My DMA is fine, and the priority for Decrypter is set to high. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DVD Decrypter PROBLEM!

ensure the settings in Tools - Settings - ISO Write for Don't Prompt erase media and Don't promt format media and Don't prompt overwrite media are ticked.
Then leave it alone. It's normal for the leadin to be written at very slow rates 0.1x then to bump up to 4x when the image is being written.
No need to scream for help. We're here.
Good luck

Well...
I did what you said, i went into settings, and long and behold all three of those were unchecked. So i shrunk a file with Shrink, and proceeded to burn it with Decrypter, and it worked. You had my hopes up for a second, because when i went to do another one, i made sure the settings were the same, clicked the "write" button, and it stopped at "Writing LeadIN." (AT 0.0 kb/s) I let it sit like you said, and after about five minutes it changed to "Writing Image" at 0.0 kb/s. As i let it sit, it said 'Write retries:1' and it proceeded to 2, still at 0.0 kb/s, which is when i canceled it out of frustration. Any idea what is wrong? What does 'Burn proof' mean? (Mine is checked) and also, does using DVD+RW's rather than DVD+R's increase error percentage? Why would you WANT to use DVD+R's? (At Office Max a 25 pack of RW's are $9.99, while a 10 pack of R's are $9.99) Should i try using DVD+R's rather than RW's?"Gimme a stage where this bull here can rage"Comment

What sort of media do you have? Sounds like a media incompatibility issue.
If you buy crap at low prices, well, you get what you paid for.
So, what burner do you have? Is the firmware up to date? Does the media match it OK?
And stick with RWs until this is cleared up. When you're 100% sure of a good burn, drop them down to Rs - but ensure they are good quality, compatible disks.

ok,
I am using Memorex DVD+RW's (2.4X) I believe my burner is 8X, even though it never runs more than 1.5X. I bought my burner at Office Max for like sixty bucks. Micro Advantage i believe. The thing is, i've succesfully burned around 20-25 dvd's with it, so i don't know what the heck is wrong. Any more suggestions? Thank you in advance."Gimme a stage where this bull here can rage"Comment

Bull,
The brand is meaningless!!! Did you read that first link I gave you?
Check out what your media ID is. Get DVDInfoPro or Nero CD DVD Speed and get your proper media ID. This will tell you what's underneath the famous brand name.Les

i downloaded that program, and my manufacturer is INFODISCA01. Thank you very much for you help. One more question, In order to burn with Nero right from Shrink, do i need to buy this Nero program or is there somewhere i can download it?"Gimme a stage where this bull here can rage"Comment
-
Yes. You need to have it installed. You can download a demo from www.nero.com/en
But why waste your money and get frustrated? It won't make your burns better - if anything, if you have a problem, Nero will compound the issue.
Continue to burn with DVD Decrypter instead - it's free and it's technologically better. Read this for an explanation why.

Ok
Another person told me, to fix this problem i should right click on the destination drive arrow in Decrypter, and fo down to Erase< then to Full. He said it should take a minute, but wait about 30 , because after it's erased, it starts to format the disc which is what i need. Does this sound right?"Gimme a stage where this bull here can rage"Comment

I can't see how this would help your situation - or have anything to do with it.
DVDs don't need formatting. Full format of a RW will take almost an hour. Erase of an RW is 16 seconds.
