burning problems

I've been burning for awhile now and just the last couple of movies and shows I've burned are being a problem. I've tried Sky Captain, South Park: season 3, and a couple disney movies. Now they backup just fine as far as I know. However all that I've burned lately will work in my computer but not in my regular dvd player. Do I just have some bad discs or is it something else?

What software are you using? What type of burner/disks? If Nero, post the log (but not the serial number).

i use copy to dvd, whatever the latest version of it is. I use memorex 8x and I haven't had problems with them before.

What is the real media code? Memorex brand masks dozens of media - some good, some bad. See http://www.nomorecoasters.com for info.

HP model what? Is your firmware up to date? You need to run a check in DVDInfoPro to discover your firmware and look here to see if it up to date. If not, flash it.

the memorex disks i have says they're fujifilm. I hvent had a problm with them before in the past. The hp writer is a 530r and its says there's no updates available

Are all the disks you had in the past Fujifilm??

You may just have a bad batch.

Try doing a CRC check in DVDINfoPro

I've used memorex and other brands in the past, and not had as big of a problem as right now. So I opened the second 25 pack that I had purchased and I got sky captain to work, but others froze again.
