Prob a stupid question, but

Ok....this is probably a stupid question with a simple answer, but I have no clue what it is........Why is it on some DVD, let's say the forgotten, you have to use dvd decryper, where as on others, like alien vs predator....you only have to use shrink. What am I failing to see/understand.

DVD Shrink can't backup movies with Sony's new DVD protection system ARccOSâ„¢. DVD Decrypter can.

Some DVD's have this new protection, and some don't.

Is the ARccOS security system the video clip of the boy in shorts who keeps jumping? If so cant you just replace with image and still use Shrink?

The boy jumping is part of the ARccOS protection system. Its apparently the only part that cannot be totally removed by DVD Shrink, although like you said, just make it a "Still Image".

In DVD Shrink, when you go to open disc or open files it wont even analyse it. It comes up with a structure error. i have been told that using dvd decrypter, then voblanker, then shrink is the way to go. Hope so, im trying it now!

You will need to open the IFO in IfoEdit and browse to VTS_VOBU_ADMAP.

Or if you have AnyDVD, You can just use VobBlanker on the DVD itself.
