Download speedfan, and see how hot your CPU is getting as that could be a reason why its crashing.

LM75, pwm, digital temperature sensor, digital sensor, i2c, smbus, 2-wire, digital, analog, speedfan, computer, hardware monitor, fan control, voltages, fan, rpm, hard disk, system management bus, smart, change fan speed, windows 8, scsi, raid, 3ware, lsi, areca, matrix raid

You can go here and check out some of the solutions. Not all of them will apply in your situation as you are using DVD Decrypter, not DVD Shrink. But a good check list none the less.

In your burning with DVD Decrypter - do you mean that it restarts during the burning phase or is it just that your burning stops with an error?

Burning is not very CPU intensive so I doubt it's due to overheating.

Sounds more as an issue with your chipset drivers for the IDE channels. Try to update them.
